Dr. Koi IbrahimDC. MS.
Dr. Koi is from Charlotte, NC, but has roots from Sierra Leone, West Africa. Dr. Koi holds a Bachelors in Exercise Science with a concentration in Health and Fitness. While at East Carolina University, he ran the 100m and 200m as a member of ECU track and field “Sprint Squad”. Dr. Koi also holds a Masters of Science in Exercise Science California University of Pennsylvania. He was a Pursuit of Excellence Scholar at Cal U and his degree focused on Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement. Dr. Koi is a certified Health Fitness Specialist with the American College of Sport Medicine, a Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and an Advanced Golf Fitness Instructor with Titleist Performance Institute. He served the metro Charlotte community as a Fitness Director, Personal Trainer, and Strength Coach helping people with Parkinson’s Disease, cardiovascular disease, sport performance and injuries, pregnancy, and general wellness.
He experienced the benefit of chiropractic by seeing how adjustments aided in the birth of his oldest daughter. He was inspired to attend Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC several years later and gained a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Koi joined Goldson Spine in order to continue his “goal to help build an improved mind and body partnership in people of all ages through the application of chiropractic, physical therapy, fitness, and wellness principles”.
Dr. Koi enjoys spending time with his family, watching his Charlotte area sports teams, and listening to music.
